Severe Weather Risk for August 14

Scattered Storm Event Possible  | Josh Owens

The Storm Prediction Center has placed the eastern portion state under a slight risk for severe weather, leaving parts of the western panhandle. A cold front will begin its push through the area over the day bring the chances for scattered strong to severe storms with it. The SPC has put us under a elevated risk for tornadoes along with the normal wind/hail risks, making today one to watch very closely (Please read risk factors).

Timing: AM weaker activity followed by more in that mid to late afternoon  and into the night
