We have finally arrived to the weather weekend many have hyped as being a “drought buster”—we shall see as we head into the afternoon. We’re having a sunny start over Maryland especially over the Metro Area, Southern Maryland and the Eastern Shore and it is more humid as well. Clouds will increase from west to east as the afternoon progresses. We have a decent chance oft a line of thunderstorms passing through late afternoon or early evening-an outside chance that a T- storm cell or 2 could be severe-Josh will keep u well updated on that. Tomorrow as the cold air rushes in and the coastal low moves from the south-we have a 100% chance of rain-a cold chilly rain for much of us and yes-snow showers for Western Maryland and it could be more than snow showers… actually accumulating snow on Monday as far east as the western suburbs of the Metro Area-I’m not joking-some areas of the mountains from Garrett County on north into Southern New York could get 1-2 feet of snow. Highs will not get out of the 40s on Monday for at least the western half of the state-the eastern half will stay in the 50s-far cry from the low 90s some of us had early this week. Gradually warming back up to seasonal levels by next weekend. (MR G)
